Unrealistic Expectations Destroy Relationships

Most of the time, I confess, that we girls are the ones who are guilty of this mistake. Having unrealistic expectation whether it entails friendship, romance, or marriage is the frequent source of complaints and misunderstandings in a relationship.

It is a common undeniable fact that very few people are loved and treated the way they want to be loved and treated. As a matter of fact, entering into a relationship with this kind of attitude simply doesn’t work out in most cases. Why? Because if those expectations were not fulfilled, eventually, the person becomes upset and discontented. This is an indication of egocentrism and self-centeredness. Remember that a relationship entails acceptance of everything about your partner. If that is not the case, maybe you’re just longing for someone whose sole purpose in life is to entertain you into bliss.
